Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer based in Melbourne with over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for applying your deep platform expertise and experience across multiple cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building and operating platforms across multi-cloud by integrating with IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, and other SaaS providers. - Creating and implementing optimized automated and abstracted infrastructure for applications, from concept and testing into production, and providing operational support for the system environment. This will enable application developers to focus on their development work. - Developing automation to ensure portability of applications hosted on multi-cloud environments. - Optimizing public cloud spend by validating system architecture and design, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and right-sizing underlying cloud infrastructure to reduce cloud spend. - Evaluating and implementing automated optimization opportunities for reducing manual steps, improving cloud security, and enabling self-healing of platform issues and anomalies using data and analytics from internal and service provider systems. - Innovating the platform to integrate features and services delivered by cloud providers and making them compliant with company standards. - Creating on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure as code designs, building highly scalable and resilient platforms, and optimizing systems for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. - Building continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems to install, configure, deploy, and monitor cloud platform solutions, ensuring effective integration and automation by leveraging and enhancing open-source libraries and frameworks.
