Senior Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Developer at Barclays, your primary responsibility will be to support the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects within planned budgets and agreed quality standards. You will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in our digital landscape, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings and deliver unparalleled customer experiences. To excel in this role, you should have experience in cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, and Openshift, as well as familiarity with Observability tooling, GitLab, and CICD setup. Your role will involve engaging in complex data analysis from various internal and external sources to creatively and effectively solve problems. Your key skills will be assessed based on criteria such as risk and controls management, change and transformation management, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology expertise, along with job-specific technical skills relevant to the role. This position is based in Pune and aims to build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure by applying software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response. Key Accountabilities: - Build Engineering: Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. - Incident Management: Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages promptly. - Automation: Implement automated tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Security: Implement secure configurations and measures to safeguard infrastructure against cyber threats. - Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IT infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Learning: Stay updated on industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities.
