Description
As a cinematographer, you play a crucial role in capturing the visual elements of film and video productions. Your main responsibilities include providing practical and creative input to scene planning, collaborating with the director and production crew to understand the project's aesthetic vision. You will be selecting, assembling, and positioning equipment such as cameras, stands, lenses, filters, and software to ensure proper functionality. Additionally, preparing cameras and testing angles to achieve desired visual effects and technical functionality will be part of your tasks. Shooting scenes as per directions, capturing high-quality footage from various positions, and ensuring that the captured film meets artistic and technical requirements regarding composition, lighting, exposure, and frame are essential aspects of your role. You will also be responsible for resolving technical or practical production challenges like lighting issues or unexpected location changes. Collaborating with the post-production team to edit footage for the desired visual aesthetic and occasionally traveling outside of Bangalore for shoots and working with the production team in different locations are also part of your responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience in cinematography, including camera operation, lighting techniques, composition, and editing. - Proficiency in various camera and lighting equipment, digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and editing software. - Strong aesthetic sense to interpret the director's vision into captivating visuals. - Technical skills in exposure, color temperature, depth of field, and other cinematography aspects. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse team members. - Strong problem-solving abilities to overcome unexpected production challenges. - Willingness to travel occasionally outside of Bangalore for shooting requirements. The job type is full-time, and the benefits include health insurance, paid sick time, and provident fund. The schedule is a day shift, fixed from Monday to Friday, with performance bonuses and quarterly bonuses offered. The work location is in-person.,
