Senior Windows Desktop Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a

  Windows desktop cloud file sync application

  with seamless integration into Windows File Explorer
• Implement

  file system synchronization

  using

  Windows Cloud Filter API (CFAPI)

  or equivalent OS-level mechanisms
• Build and maintain

  C++C# interop layers

  using P/Invoke, C++/CLI, or COM Interop
• Develop

  native C++ components

  for core sync logic, performance-critical operations, and OS-level integration
• Create and maintain

  Windows Shell extensions

  such as context menus, icon overlays, and file status indicators
• Develop and enhance

  .NET desktop UI

  (preferably WPF) using

  MVVM architecture

• Ensure

  high performance, stability, thread safety, and memory efficiency

  across the application
• Debug complex issues across

  mixed-language (C++/C#) codebases

  using Visual Studio 2022
• Implement

  secure file system access

  aligned with Windows security and permission models
• Support

  installer creation and deployment

  using MSI/MSIX or custom installer pipelines
• Contribute to

  automated testing

  including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years

  of experience in

  Windows desktop application development

• Strong expertise in

  Native C++

  on Windows with deep understanding of:
• Win32 API
  
• Windows Shell & File System APIs
  
• Multithreading, async programming, and memory management
  
• Hands-on experience building or integrating

  cloud file sync engines

  using

  CFAPI

  or similar OS-level sync technologies
• Experience with

  C++ and C# interoperability

  , including:
• P/Invoke
  
• C++/CLI
  
• COM Interop
  
• Solid experience in

  .NET desktop development

  , preferably

  WPF

• Familiarity with

  MVVM architecture

  and UI performance optimization
• Strong experience using

  Visual Studio 2022

  , mixed-mode debugging, and diagnostics
• Good understanding of

  Windows security and file system permissions

• Experience with

  MSI/MSIX installers

  for Windows desktop applications
