Senior C++ Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at Trading Technologies, you will be joining the Order Connectivity team to work on the award-winning trading platform. Your role will involve coding in C++ and other programming languages within a real-time, multi-threaded, low-latency software architecture. You will collaborate with a highly skilled team to design and implement complex software, analyze incidents, ensure software quality, and propose enhancements to existing trading systems. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members and adhere to release and sprint planning with the Quality Assurance Group and Project Management. Key Responsibilities: - Code day-to-day in C++ and other programming languages in a real-time, multi-threaded, low-latency software architecture - Design and implement complex software including exchange gateways and new features - Participate in design discussions, detailed code reviews, and architecture decisions - Analyze stack traces, core dumps, and production incident reports - Write high-level design documents and thorough documentation - Develop integration and unit tests for software quality - Perform memory and resource management analysis and performance tuning - Propose fixes and enhancements to existing trading systems - Mentor junior team members - Adhere to release and sprint planning with the Quality Assurance Group and Project Management Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 5 years of development experience with C++ - Proficiency in C++ template programming, multithreading, and memory management - Experience with debugging tools like GDB and Address Sanitizer - Knowledge of multi-threaded applications with a focus on performance - Understanding of business requirements and translating them into technical solutions - Experience in the trading industry and industry protocols such as FIX is preferred - Familiarity with Git, networking, network protocols, Linux, Python, automated testing, and agile development methodologies is a plus Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at Trading Technologies, you will be joining the Order Connectivity team to work on the award-winning trading platform.
