Senior C++ Software Engineer

As an engineer in this remote position, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, and debugging of time critical, multi-threaded, distributed applications. It is essential that you have a strong work ethic, collaborate effectively with your team members, and demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts related to market data processing systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Designing, implementing, documenting, and debugging time critical, multi-threaded, distributed applications - Collaborating effectively with team members - Quickly learning complex concepts related to market data processing systems **Qualifications Required:** - BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant industry experience - 5+ years experience in developing multithreaded C++ software systems - 3+ years experience in designing clean and extensible object oriented designs - Experience in applying design patterns - Familiarity with Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, SUSE Linux) - Experience with Linux development and debugging tools - Knowledge of profiling, memory leak detection, and other code analysis In addition, the following qualifications are preferred: - Experience in developing real-time or ultra-low latency C++ software systems - Experience working on a fast-paced Agile development team - Experience in Test-Driven Development methodology - Experience with financial market data - Experience with C++11 standard - Ability to teach updated C++11 standards and design patterns to other developers If you join this company, you will have the opportunity to design and build reusable and extensible software to process financial market data in an ultra-low latency system.
