Job Description

Senior Backend Engineer to build correctness-critical backend systems powering ledgers, orchestration, and value movement for agentic commerce platforms.

Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or similar systems-oriented languages
Experience building transactional or correctness-critical backend systems
Strong understanding of databases, indexing, and consistency guarantees
Experience with event-driven systems and workflow orchestration
Experience integrating external APIs reliably
Strong debugging and operational skills
Ability to work independently in a senior, lean engineering team
Currently working at a product-based organisation

Responsibilities

Design and implement ledger and accounting workflows
Build event-driven services and transaction pipelines
Develop backend APIs for mobile and internal systems
Integrate identity, verification, and value movement systems
Define and enforce system invariants and data correctness rules
Implement monitoring, observability, and reliability tooling
Write high-quality, well-tested backend code
Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer on architecture and delivery
