Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js / Microservices)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain

  Node.js microservices

  using Express.js following RESTful principles.
• Build

  event-driven, scalable microservices

  architecture for high-volume transaction systems.
• Develop and maintain

  secure payment processing services

  integrating with multiple gateways (e.g., TSYS, Fluidpay, Ingenico).
• Implement

  transaction workflows

  including authorizations, refunds, voids, and settlements with idempotency and retry logic.
• Develop and document robust

  APIs

  for mobile and web platforms; integrate with external systems (CRM, authentication, carrier services).
• Design and optimize

  MongoDB schemas

  , aggregation pipelines, and indexing for performance.
• Ensure

  data consistency and reliability

  in distributed systems using patterns like Saga and event-driven communication.
• Implement

  security best practices

  including encryption, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, and PCI-DSS compliance.
• Containerize and deploy services using

  Docker

  and

  Kubernetes

  , with CI/CD automation.
• Set up

  monitoring, logging, and performance optimization

  using ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with

  Node.js & Express.js

  in production environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in

  microservices architecture and deployment

• Strong expertise in

  MongoDB

  (schema design, indexing, aggregation).
• Solid understanding of

  RESTful API design

  message queuing

  (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Pub/Sub).
• Experience with
