As a Senior Backend Developer at Katomaran Technologies Pvt. Ltd., your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems using Ruby on Rails and Node.js. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-availability backend systems and collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Ruby on Rails and Node.js - Architecting scalable, secure, and high-availability backend systems - Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend integrations - Optimizing application performance, database queries, and background jobs - Ensuring high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability - Working closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams - Implementing authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms - Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions - Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance - Troubleshooting production issues and ensuring system reliability Qualifications required for this role include: - 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails and Node.js - Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails (ActiveRecord, background jobs, API-only apps) - Solid experience with Node.js (Express/NestJS or similar frameworks) - Proficiency with PostgreSQL / MySQL - Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) - Strong understanding of database design, indexing, and performance tuning - Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP - Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines - Knowledge of background processing tools (Sidekiq, Bull, etc.) - Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices - Experience with third-party API integrations - Familiarity with Git-based version control workflows - Knowledge of system monitoring and logging tools is a plus Preferred skills that would be good to have for this role include: - Experience with event-driven systems or message queues - Exposure to frontend technology (React.js) - Experience in startup or product-based environments If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume to hr@katomaran.com with the subject "Application Senior Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails + Node.js)".
