Job Description

You will be part of a dynamic team at Flexera, a company dedicated to helping customers save billions of dollars in wasted technology spend. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in leading initiatives to build resilient and cost-optimized infrastructure automation systems. Your expertise will be crucial in developing backend services that support scalable, self-healing Kubernetes clusters across various cloud providers. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of backend systems to drive Kubernetes cluster automation, optimizing infrastructure for reliability, performance, and cloud cost, building integrations with AWS APIs, and contributing to internal frameworks for autoscaling and resource management. Additionally, you will guide architecture discussions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally with SREs and product managers to shape feature development. To excel in this role, you should have at least 6-9 years of backend development experience, preferably in cloud-native or DevOps domains. Strong programming skills in Java or Golang, in-depth understanding of Kubernetes internals and orchestration patterns, and expertise in designing scalable APIs and distributed systems are essential. Proficiency in Linux, Git, and CI/CD workflows is also required. Experience with Kubernetes autoscalers, familiarity with multi-cloud infrastructure or hybrid cloud design, and monitoring expertise with tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK are considered nice-to-have qualifications.
