Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of the Programme within Group Chief Data Office with a focus on uplifting existing processes and controls to improve the data risk posture of the bank. Specifically, you will work in the Data Sovereignty stream of the Mercury Programme, collaborating with various Business and Functions teams, Compliance colleagues, and technology to design, implement, and operationalize robust, streamlined, and customer-centric data risk management capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Identify scenarios with data sovereignty risk implications and collaborate with Business and Functions to develop strategic plans for data sovereignty risk management - Drive awareness about data sovereignty risk management through education, training, and awareness programs - Work with Business & Functions and Regions & Countries to plan for handling data sovereignty requirements - Analyze challenges, drive for pragmatic solutions, and operationalize the data sovereignty standard with the second-line risk owner - Develop and implement efficient, repeatable, and compliant processes for data sovereignty risk management across business units - Create a governance framework and control designs to ensure adherence to data management policy and data sovereignty standard - Drive data sovereignty risk mitigation activities and provide consultation and hands-on training - Stay updated on developments, innovations, industry best practices, and changes in data sovereignty regulations - Develop metrics/dashboards to track data sovereignty risk health within the group Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive experience in data governance, specifically in privacy and/or data sovereignty risk management Additional Company Details: Standard Chartered is an international bank that aims to make a positive difference for clients, communities, and employees.
