Senior Azure Data Engineer

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Build ETL and ELT integration solutions based on requirements and pre-existing design patterns.
• Help identify efficiency improvements in existing processes and design patterns.
• Assist in create business and technical integration documents
• Help design new solutions by analyzing and interpreting clients' requirements.
• Perform the typical Capture, Ingest, Store, Validation processes.
• Lead data mapping between source and target systems and perform ETL or ELT processes.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining batch and real-time integration patterns.
• Design and development of the end-to-end error logging, checking and correction process
• Performance tuning SQL and the integration process.
• Defining and developing the integration process for conversion, and historical load.
• Will have quality assurance responsibilities to ensure the solution meets business requirements.
• Participate in client and team meetings.
• Identify and help resolve complex issues and problems and engage higher-level staff on risks and issues
• Subject matter expert on integration methods, processes, and patterns

Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:

• 8+ years of strong hands-on SQL and ETL experience designing integration patterns for data lakes, data warehouse, ODS, & data marts
• 5+ years of Azure Data Factory, ETL, JSON, XML Dataflow, data mapping, experience.
• 3-5 Years Insurance (P&C or Life) integration project experience preferred
• 3+ years of CDC, data profiling and data cleansing
• Experience with Az Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong experience/exposure to one or more of Amazon, or Google, data management tools
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
• Experience leading 3+ developers through the full development life-cycle
