Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Automation Test Engineer at United Airlines, you will be responsible for the delivery of enterprise software testing projects and programs with an automation-first approach. You will design, implement, and execute automation test strategies and frameworks while collaborating closely with the Quality Managers and Quality Leads. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be crucial in this fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of automation and manual test strategies for various software and systems, ensuring quality from test planning to production deployment. - Collaborate with software developers, QE analysts, and system engineers to identify system requirements and maintain automation artifacts, tools, licenses & frameworks. - Manage and mitigate testing-related risks and issues, track testing KPIs, and integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines. - Integrate GenAI into existing automation frameworks and enhance the quality of automation test scripts for functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end testing. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or 4 years of relevant work experience. - 4-6 years of experience in Software Automation. - AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. - ISQTB/CSTE or similar certification. - Proficiency in test automation programming/scripting with skills in UI, API, and Desktop testing tools like Selenium, ReadyAPI, UFT, etc. - Knowledge of Agile & Waterfall Methodologies, Backend Testing, Release Management Processes, Cloud Technologies, Test Data Modeling, and DevOps CI/CD implementation. - Ability to work with distributed global teams, under time constraints, and support off/CST hours during production deployments.
