Senior Automation QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled, curious, and proactive Automation Quality Engineer to join our QA team. Your role will involve a strong passion for quality and a drive to enhance software delivery through a blend of automated and manual testing, prioritizing an automation-first approach to expedite time-to-market and minimize manual effort. As a member of our cross-functional Agile team, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of testing, actively contributing ideas for improvements, ensuring a seamless user experience, and upholding product quality. Ideal candidates should possess at least 5 years of hands-on experience in both automated and manual testing, particularly in Agile/Scrum environments. Proficiency in JavaScript or Java for writing automated tests is required, along with expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks using tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium. Additionally, experience in API testing and automation using tools like Karate, REST-assured, or Postman is essential. A deep understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, execution best practices, and the ability to write clear, maintainable, and reusable test cases and scenarios are crucial. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, database validation, SQL for backend testing, test management tools like Zephyr, bug tracking tools like Jira, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to design environment-agnostic tests, excellent communication skills in English, and a continuous learning mindset are highly valued. Experience or knowledge of AWS, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, accessibility testing, performance testing tools, and observability and monitoring tools are considered beneficial. Key responsibilities of the role include designing, developing, and maintaining reliable and scalable automated test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines, implementing shift-left testing strategies, driving test automation best practices, collaborating with stakeholders, performing various types of testing, and contributing to root cause analysis. As an Automation Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in championing automation, reducing manual intervention, and continuously suggesting new tools, technologies, and strategies to enhance QA effectiveness.,
