As a Senior Test Automation Engineer at CIMET, you will be leading the test automation initiatives with expertise in Cypress/Selenium. Your role is crucial in driving the quality assurance strategy, mentoring team members, and ensuring alignment of automation frameworks and processes with industry standards. CIMET provides end-to-end comparison and signup of various services online in a B2B and B2C environment, with plans to expand further into financial services. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Leadership and Strategy:** - Define and implement the test automation strategy focusing on scalability and efficiency. - Mentor and guide junior and mid-level automation engineers to foster continuous learning. - Collaborate with stakeholders to align quality goals with business objectives. - **Automation Framework Ownership:** - Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks using Cypress/Selenium. - Optimize frameworks for performance, maintainability, and integration with CI/CD pipelines. - **Test Script Development and Review:** - Write, review, and maintain high-quality test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. - Automate testing for UI, API, and integration layers using Cypress/Selenium. - **Test Planning and Execution:** - Lead the creation of detailed test plans and strategies. - Oversee test execution, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations. - **Defect and Quality Management:** - Analyze automation test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution. - Drive root cause analysis processes to address quality issues. - **Performance and Load Testing:** - Implement performance and load testing strategies using Cypress/Selenium plugins or other tools. - Ensure application meets scalability and performance requirements. - **Process Optimization and Innovation:** - Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies in test automation. - Identify opportunities to enhance automation coverage and improve efficiency. - **Collaboration and Communication:** - Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle. - Provide detailed reporting on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation. - Expertise in Cypress/Selenium, JavaScript/TypeScript, testing methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and RESTful API testing. - Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Prior leadership experience in QA or test automation. - Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Puppeteer, and performance/load testing tools. - ISTQB Advanced Certification or equivalent. - Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
