Senior Associate / VP

Capria Ventures is nearing the first close of its third flagship India fund, focusing on investing in Jobtech, SaaS, Fintech, and Climate sectors within India's startup ecosystem. As a rockstar Senior Associate/VP in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and facilitating transformative business development opportunities, creating value for portfolio companies. Your responsibilities will include: Deal Sourcing: - Identifying the best entrepreneurs in early-stage ventures using technology and business innovation. - Developing investment theses, sourcing deals, and building a strong pipeline across key investment sectors. - Demonstrating thought leadership through articles and blog posts. - Building and maintaining relationships within the Indian startup ecosystem. Due Diligence: - Understanding, evaluating, and championing investment opportunities. - Leading investment diligence, including market research, financial modeling, and negotiation. - Presenting investments compellingly to the investment committee. - Working with the global investment team to implement best practices. Portfolio Management: - Managing relationships with portfolio companies. - Monitoring their progress and ensuring superior performance. - Assisting with business development, funding, planning, and operations improvement. - Providing necessary reports and data on a regular basis. Leadership: - Contributing to the firm's long-term strategy. - Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of analysts and fellows. - Motivating others to achieve ambitious goals and strengthen the firm's brand recall. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree; MBA or similar degree preferred. - 6+ years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, or related fields. - Strong knowledge of India and the startup ecosystem. - Excellent business acumen and financial analysis abilities. - Strong communication skills and ability to think creatively about business opportunities.
