Job Summary
We are seeking a
Senior Associate
to join our growing technical team in Gurugram, India. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience with strong expertise in prior art, telecom architectures, Standard Essential Patent (SEP) analysis, and intellectual property (IP)-related matters.This role is well-suited for individuals who are passionate about technology, thrive in a high-growth startup environment, and enjoy a hands-on approach with the latest tech innovations.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Provide technology consulting services to law firms and corporate clients, helping to solve complex technical queries.
- Leverage understanding of underlying telecom technologies to analyze patent portfolios and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Lead and manage teams conducting research and analysis, including technology research and patent-related studies.
- Independently plan and execute various patent searches, including novelty, obviousness, and clearance searches, with a strong emphasis on invalidity and validity searches within the telecom domain.
- Analyze patent documents, research papers, and technical literature to identify relevant prior art for invalidity, validity and opposition studies. Provide expert insights on search strategies using specialized databases and analytical tools.
- Experience with a range of IP matters, including infringement analysis involving claim interpretation, accused product analysis, and preparation of infringement claim charts.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in telecom architectures (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, 5G, LTE, etc.) and related industry standards (IEEE 802.11, 3GPP ETSI - 4G/LTE Advanced and 5G).
- Conduct SEP (Standard Essential Patent) analysis and provide insights into telecom-specific patent issues.
- Explain complex technology and IP matters to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Effectively handle calls and communications with US-based clients, including industry experts, corporate counsel, CEOs, startup founders, and IP litigators.
- Collaborate with product teams to guide the development and testing of Lumenci's technology platforms.
- Showcase technology and IP thought leadership through blogs, research reports, and other channels.
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships internally and externally, working seamlessly with both in-person and virtual global teams.

Education And Experience
- BTech/MTech/PhD in Computers, Electronics, Communications, or Electrical Engineering from premier colleges such as IITs, BITS, and NITs.
- 3-6 years of experience in relevant Tech industry e.g. Telecom, Software, Semiconductor, and Cloud computing.
