Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Compliance & Filing:
Manage and execute the preparation and filing of core monthly GST returns, including
GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-6 (ISD), GSTR-7 (TDS)
, and
ITC-04
. Assist with the annual returns
GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C
.
ITC & Reconciliation:
Perform detailed monthly reconciliation of
GSTR-2A/2B
with books of accounts to validate
Input Tax Credit (ITC)
eligibility. Monitor and manage
ITC reversals
as required by statutory provisions (e.g., non-payment beyond 180 days).
Payments & Refunds:
Assist in the compilation and submission of GST
refund claims
and ensure accurate determination of final output tax liability, including complex
cross-charge calculations
for inter-unit transactions.
Audit & Documentation:
Maintain systematic and audit-ready documentation for all tax submissions and reconciliations. Assist in gathering and organizing data for
litigation support
and external audits.
Process Coordination:
Coordinate actively with
Procurement, Accounts Payable (AP)
, and other internal stakeholders to ensure vendor invoices meet GST requirements and assist in maintaining the
vendor compliance tracker
.
Reporting & MIS:
Prepare and maintain internal trackers,
MIS reports
, and performance
KPI dashboards
to monitor compliance status, filing accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in tax-related roles or general accounting

- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and processes is

advantageous

- Experience working in a GCC environment or multinational organization.
