Job Description

Join the Consumer and Community Banking Fraud Risk Strategic Analytics team, where you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in generating insightful analytics and recommendations for strategy development, implementation, and operational controls. This position allows you to be part of a team that is leading the way in providing strategic insights for business decisions in the Cards Business Fraud identification space. Your responsibilities will include developing and communicating insights to influence strategic initiatives, utilizing your analytical problem-solving skills and working with large data sets from various sources. Strong programming skills, excellent communication, and an understanding of data repositories, tools, policies, and controls in the risk reporting and analytics space are crucial for success in this role. - Taking ownership of card acquisitions fraud strategy and ensuring a clear plan is in place to minimize overall fraud application loss - Monitoring credit card third-party fraud risks and fraud attack trends to identify responses that minimize customer and bank exposure across acquisition channels - Collaborating with various teams to develop and prioritize initiatives that maximize existing capabilities - Escalating potential risks that could lead to unacceptable fraud controls and losses - Supporting strategic initiatives outlined by the business and Fraud Strategy leadership through analysis - Analyzing current and historic data to keep fraud systems and processes updated - Conducting periodic high fraud losses case reviews to identify gaps in fraud strategy or case management - Developing and maintaining periodic analytics to provide management with insights into emerging trends and account quality - Understanding key performance metrics and profitability drivers to deliver insights throughout the account lifecycle - Acquiring knowledge of operational processes to understand acquisition performance drivers - Conducting ad hoc analytics and contributing to various projects representing Risk Management - Bachelor's/Masters degree in a quantitative or business discipline from an accredited college/university - Minimum 8 years of Risk Management or other quantitative experience - Background in statistics, econometrics, or another quantitative field - Advanced understanding of SQL, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software - Ability to query and transform large amounts of data into actionable insights - Familiarity with risk analytic techniques - Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand data impacts in operational and financial areas - Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the capability to interact with all levels of the organization - Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description.),
