Senior Associate Direct Tax Lawyer

You will be playing a crucial role in supporting the Partner at a Tier 1 Law Firm in India, specifically focusing on Direct Taxes. The Partner heads the Direct Taxes Practice and is keen on having a qualified CA from a renowned consulting firm join the team. As a candidate for this role, you are required to have a CA qualification along with 4-6 years of relevant experience. Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice on Corporate Tax Planning, addressing strategic issues, and handling complex tax matters such as business reconstruction. Moreover, you will be involved in advising on international tax issues like Cross Border Transactions, DTAA aspects, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing, Permanent Establishments, inbound & outbound matters, and Repatriations. Developing strong professional relationships with Senior Management across diverse industries is a key aspect of this role, aiming to become their trusted advisor and primary point of contact. In addition, you will be expected to lead multiple complex tax engagements, oversee planning and day-to-day delivery, and establish effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities. Ensuring high-quality deliverables in a timely manner, promptly addressing client queries, and consistently meeting client expectations are essential aspects of this role.,
