Senior Architect Manager

Position:

Role Overview

The Senior Manager Architecture will lead the architectural design and planning function for real estate development projects, ensuring excellence in aesthetics, functionality, compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The role involves managing end-to-end project designs from concept stage to execution, coordinating with internal project teams, consultants, authorities, and ensuring alignment with business, marketing, and sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership & Project Planning

• Lead architectural design development for residential / commercial / mixed-use / township projects.
• Prepare and review master plans, conceptual layouts, unit plans, , faade design , and GFC drawings.
• Translate business requirements, customer expectations, and marketing inputs into practical design solutions.
• Drive value engineering without compromising quality, design integrity, or brand standards.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, faade, interior, planning, and project execution teams.
• Liaise with external architects, consultants, contractors, and design partners.
• Support project management teams in design clarification and site execution challenges.
• Conduct periodic design review meetings and ensure smooth design approvals.

Approvals, Compliance & Standards

• Ensure designs adhere to local building bylaws, development control regulations, RERA, NBC norms, and statutory guidelines.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities for approvals and design clearances.
• Maintain design documentation, revision control, and version management.

Quality, Cost & Timelines

• Monitor architectural deliverables as per project timelines.
• Ensure design quality benchmarks and material specifications are maintained.
• Support procurement in material selection and architectural specification finalization.

Innovation & Technology

• Promote sustainable, environment-friendly, and energy-efficient design practices.
• Encourage use of modern design tools such as Revit, BIM, 3D visualization, VR walk-throughs, etc.
• Integrate customer experience and modern lifestyle planning into design approach.

People Leadership

• Lead and mentor the internal architecture/design team.
• Build capability, guide junior architects, and ensure collaborative working.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in real estate architectural planning & design
• Excellent understanding of residential/commercial planning, FAR optimization, and unit efficiency
• Knowledge of local bylaws, approvals & compliance framework
• Design coordination excellence with consultants & site teams
• Strong problem-solving and execution support mindset
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Photoshop & presentation tools
• Strong communication, leadership & stakeholder management skills

Qualification

• B.Arch / M.Arch from a reputed institute
• Council of Architecture registration preferred
