Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Analyst with strong expertise in Sage 50 Accounting Software and UK accounting practices to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, proven experience in financial reporting, and the ability to work directly with UK clients in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver management reporting (monthly/quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements)
Monitor and forecast cash flow (36 months) and support supplier/customer negotiations
Perform financial analysis including revenue, sales, gross margin, overheads, and variance analysis
Manage working capital (inventory, receivables, payables, loans)
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and support UK statutory requirements
Provide analytical insights using advanced Excel for decision-making
Liaise directly with UK clients, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely communication
Lead and support junior finance staff as required

Qualifications & Profile:

B.Com (Mandatory)
45 years of experience in accounting & reporting (Mandatory)
Retail industry experience (Preferable)
Strong accounting background with hands-on experience in Sage 50 (Mandatory)
Proven ability to manage end-to-end finance processes for mid-sized entities
Preferably with exposure to retail industry and UK accounting environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a team-driven environment

Additional Skills (Preferable):

Exposure to UK accounting & compliance (VAT returns, HMRC filings, payroll, annual accounts)
Experience with other UK accounting software
Understanding of multi-channel retail business data (online, wholesale, physical retail)
