Senior Analog Layout Engineer

As an Analog Mixed Signal (A&MS) Layout Engineer at Synopsys, you will be a part of the Analog Mixed Signal IP Team working with cutting-edge technologies in chip design and software security. Your role involves working on custom layout Analog IPs such as High Speed IOs, PLL, DLL, Bandgap, and High-Speed macros for PHY and Clock trees. You will be responsible for floor planning, power design, signal routing strategy, EMIR awareness, parasitic optimization, and layout verification for various parameters. Additionally, you will collaborate with global teams, participate in design reviews, and may lead a layout team or mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Work on custom layout Analog IPs like High Speed IOs, PLL, DLL, Bandgap, High-Speed macros for PHY, Clock trees. - Perform floor planning, power design, signal routing strategy, EMIR awareness, and parasitic optimization for layout blocks from schematics. - Ensure design meets performance requirements with minimum area and good yield using Analog Layout techniques. - Participate in building and enhancing layout flow for faster, higher quality design processes. - Conduct layout verification for DRC/LVS/ERC/ANT/ESD/DFM and PERC verification for ESD/LUP checks. - Collaborate with Place and Route engineers, Package teams, and participate in design reviews across global teams. - Mentor junior layout engineers or interns. Qualifications Required: - BS in Electronics Engineering, Electromechanics, or Telecommunications. - 3+ years of experience in custom layout. - Familiarity with Layout entry tools such as Cadence and Synopsys. - Proficiency in Layout verification tools like Mentor Calibre and Synopsys ICV. - Understanding of basic semiconductor fabrication processes and MOSFET fundamentals. - Experience in layout techniques for high speed, matching, ESD, Latchup, Antenna, and EMIR. - Strong English communication skills, team player, self-motivated, humble, honest, and willing to learn.
