Job Summary:

Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Banking & Fund Management

  • Handle day-to-day banking operations including fund-based (Cash Credit, Term Loans) and non-fund-based (Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit) facilities.
  • Ensure timely renewal and compliance of fund/non-fund-based bank limits.
  • Prepare and submit stock statements to banks within prescribed timelines.
  • Address and resolve bank queries, coordinate with banks for all documentation and compliance.

Accounting & Audit

  • Maintain and update books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring timely preparation and availability of required documentation.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports.

Compliance & Taxation

  • Handle GST computations, filing of monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns, and reconciliation.
  • Manage TDS deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and timelines.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare documentation for issuance of Bank Guarantees (BG) and Letters of Credit (LC).
  • Maintain proper records and documentation of financial transactions.
  • Prepare reports and analysis as required by management or external agencies.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:

    B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter (preferred)
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5 To 10 years of relevant experience in core accounting, bank dealings, and statutory compliance.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Tally Prime.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
    • Familiar with GST, TDS, and other statutory laws and compliance.
  • Banking Knowledge:

    • Understanding of bank finance instruments like BGs, LCs, and credit facilities.
    • Experience in preparation and timely submission of bank-related documents.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or trading company.
  • Exposure to handling multiple banks and facilities.
  • Experience in preparing audit schedules and liaising with statutory auditors.
