Job Description

Senior Accountant

About the Opportunity
A diversified industrial and services group operating across manufacturing, trading, and professional services with significant operations in India. We seek a technically strong Senior Accountant to own month-end close, statutory compliance, and management reporting for multiple business units ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory adherence.

Role Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close activities: prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, PL and balance sheet reviews, and variance analysis.
Manage statutory compliance: oversee GST filing, TDS/TCS processes, and support tax return preparations and audits.
Maintain and reconcile ledgers and bank accounts; resolve reconciling items and ensure clean month-end trial balance.
Prepare timely management reports and MIS: cash flow, working capital analysis, cost center reporting, and KPI dashboards for stakeholders.
Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to provide schedules, explanations, and corrective actions for audit observations.
Improve accounting processes and controls: implement automation opportunities, standard operating procedures, and periodic process reviews to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Skills Qualifications

Must-Have

Ind AS accounting
GST compliance
TDS compliance
MS Excel (Advanced)
Tally ERP
SAP FICO

Preferred

IFRS exposure
Experience with ERP month-end automation
Knowledge of statutory audit processes

Qualifications Experience

Qualified commerce graduate or part-qualified CA (CA Inter) with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate finance, shared services, or manufacturing sectors.
