Senior Accountant- ( Gst and Taxation )

Role & responsibilities - We are seeking an experienced GST & Taxation Executive with a strong background in Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance, reconciliation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing GST-related activities, including filing returns, reconciling purchase and sales registers, and ensuring compliance with e-invoicing and TCS/TDS requirements. ______________ Key Responsibilities: 1. GST Return Filing: Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) accurately and within deadlines. Ensure timely filing of annual returns (GSTR-9) and reconciliation statements (GSTR-9C). File refund claims (RFD-01) as applicable. 2. Reconciliation Activities: Reconcile purchase register with GSTR-2B to ensure accurate Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims. Reconcile sales register with GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B to ensure consistency in reported figures. Perform reconciliation of general ledger with trial balance and GST returns. Reconcile e-way bill data with sales invoices and GST returns. Identify and resolve discrepancies in reconciliation processes. 3. E-Invoicing and TCS/TDS Compliance: Ensure compliance with e-invoicing requirements for B2B transactions. Reconcile e-invoice data with sales register and GST returns. Compile and file GST-TCS/TDS returns accurately and within deadlines. 4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all GST-related transactions and reconciliations. Prepare and submit reports on GST compliance and reconciliation status to management. Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and responses to departmental notices. 5. Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve discrepancies in GST filings. Liaise with tax authorities during audits and assessments. Provide guidance to internal teams on GST-related matters. Preferred candidate profile
