Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure timely closing of monthly and yearly accounts.

2. General Ledger Management

Oversee journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Monitor and review accounting transactions for accuracy.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data and trends to provide management insights.

4. Compliance & Audit Support

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

5. Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

Review vendor and customer accounts, payments, and collections.
Ensure proper aging analysis and reporting.

6. Process Improvement & Controls

Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.

7. Team Support & Leadership

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Provide training and guidance as needed.
