**Job Title**: Senior Accountant**Location**: Ahmedabad**Department**: Finance & Accounts Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and support budgeting activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and financial regulations, especially in the context of Indian businesses.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and accounts.
• Handle day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchase, payment, receipts, journal).
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
• Prepare MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
• Manage GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation) and TDS returns.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
• Reconcile bank statements and inter-company accounts.
• Monitor and maintain accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements like PF, PT, ESIC, Income Tax, etc.
• Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and cost control measures.
• Liaise with consultants, banks, and government departments as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and company information.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com/MBA/CA Inter).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Proficient in Tally ERP / Zoho Books / SAP / or other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Indian taxation (GST, TDS) and accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector is an advantage.
• Exposure to ROC filings and company law compliance is a plus.
