Description
Responsibilities: Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for ABAP development across the SAP landscape, ensuring best practices are followed. Design, develop, and implement complex ABAP programs, interfaces, reports, enhancements, and forms based on business requirements in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Required skills SAP ABAP Reporting, Dialogue programming, LSMW, BDC, BAPI, Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, RFCs, Object Oriented ABAP, Workflow, ALE IDOC, EDI, OData, ABAP Proxy, XML based integrations etc, optimizing existing code for better performance Have good understanding of middleware like CPI, SDI, PI/PO, SOAP, File transfers Understanding of SAP IBP module with experience in CPI concepts will be of added advantage Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and work in multiple projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions that align with business objectives. Lead code reviews and performance tuning initiatives to ensure optimal performance and maintainability of ABAP applications. Mentor and train junior ABAP developers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices within the development team. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in ABAP programs and SAP applications, providing timely support to users. Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, including S/4HANA and Fiori, and evaluate their applicability to the organizations needs. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and training materials. Requirements: 7-10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong understanding of various SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, CRM). Expertise in developing complex ABAP programs, including reports, BAPIs, user exits, enhancement points, and IDocs. In-depth knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools within the SAP environment. Strong understanding of SAP data models, database concepts, and integration techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with SAP S/4HANA ABAP on Cloud and Fiori development or Integration Suite is a plus. SAP ABAP certification or relevant technical certifications is an advantage.
