Job Description: Trust & Safety Officer

Location: Hyderabad, India

About the Role:

As a Trust & Safety Officer at JPMorgan Chase in Hyderabad, you'll be a critical part of safeguarding our payments and digital platforms. Your mission would be to protect customers and the firm from fraud, abuse, and emerging threatswhile working closely with cross-functional teams across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy & Oversight

Define and drive the Trust & Safety strategy for payments or digital products.

Partner with cross-functional teams—Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance—to ensure safety measures are embedded early and iteratively.

Track key metrics like fraud trends, false-positive rates, and risk posture, using data to guide decisions.

2. Policy Development & Enforcement

Develop policies around fraud prevention, sanctions, KYC/AML, identity verification, and user abuse.

Stay updated with emerging threats and regulatory developments globally.

3. Incident & Risk Response

Lead incident response during breaches or suspicious activity.

Collaborate with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to conduct thorough root cause analyses and recommend systemic improvements.

4. Cross-functional Leadership & Go-to-Market Readiness

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure readiness for new features or launches.

Align Trust & Safety protocols with customer experience and business objectives.

Guide operational rollout of policies and tools.

5. Analytics & Monitoring

Use analytics to identify emerging fraud patterns, monitor effectiveness of controls, and guide proactive mitigation.

If applicable, help incorporate ML or automation to improve alerting and decisioning systems.

6. Stakeholder Communication

Clearly communicate risk posture, incident findings, and strategic initiatives to leadership and business partners.

Develop dashboards and reports to measure impact and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Professional Background

5+ years in Trust & Safety, Risk, Fraud, AML/KYC, or related fields—payments or fintech experience preferred.

Strong understanding of Trust & Safety landscapes—fraud vectors, sanctions, identity risk, KYC.

Experience working in matrixed organizations or across multiple regions.

- Technical & Analytical Skills

Comfortable with metrics-driven decision-making.

Bonus if you have exposure to ML-enabled fraud detection.
