Job Description: Field Security Officer
Location: Karnataka & MaharashtraDepartment: Operations & MaintenanceReporting To: O&M Head Role ObjectiveTo ensure effective on-ground security management across solar and wind power sites in Karnataka and Maharashtra by coordinating manpower deployment, monitoring site security operations, managing local liaison, and ensuring timely resolution of Right of Way (RoW) and law & order issues in coordination with police and administrative authorities.Key Responsibilities1. Site Security Management

• Supervise and monitor deployment and performance of security guards across allocated sites.
• Ensure 24x7 protection of assets, infrastructure, and personnel at solar and wind sites.
• Conduct regular inspections and surprise audits of security posts and gate registers.
• Oversee implementation of access control, vehicle movement tracking, and night patrolling.

2. Incident Management

• Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of thefts, vandalism and other security breaches.
• Coordinate with the O&M team, police and local agencies for timely resolution and preventive measures.
• Maintain records of incidents, FIRs, and investigation progress.

3. Local Liaison & RoW Coordination

• Establish and maintain strong liaison with local communities, landowners, and administrative bodies.
• Facilitate smooth execution of O&M and project activities by addressing RoW and encroachment-related issues.
• Engage proactively with local influencers and government representatives to ensure site harmony.

4. Police & Legal Coordination

• Coordinate with local police authorities for preventive patrolling, law and order support, and FIR follow-ups.
• Support legal and HR teams in documentation, verification, and case tracking related to security incidents.

5. Vendor Management

• Supervise outsourced security service providers for compliance to scope and contract conditions.
• Monitor attendance, deployment efficiency, and monthly billing verification of security agencies.
• Recommend improvement actions and performance feedback for security vendors.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security status reports covering incident logs, manpower deployment, and key observations.
• Maintain RoW issue trackers and police coordination logs.
• Submit periodic risk assessments and site vulnerability reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate / Ex-Serviceman / Police Mitra with 8 to 12 years of field security experience, preferably in infrastructure, renewable energy, or utility sectors.
• Hands-on experience in managing multi-location sites and large manpower teams.
• Strong network with local administrative and police departments.
• Proficiency in Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, and English preferred.
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, email reporting).
