As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team , you are part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team, you execute basic software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role. Job responsibilities Designing, Developing, & Operating solutions for Network and Security products. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Develops secure and high quality production code in reviewing and debugging code written by others. Minimizes security vulnerabilities by following industry insights and governmental regulations to continuously evolve security protocols, including creating processes to determine the effectiveness of current controls. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Experience developing security engineering solutions, along with design and implementation of cloud security solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP for best technical practices. Proficient in software engineering with code development using JAVA, Springboot, and REACT JS. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure, and container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Jules, or Spinnaker. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, utilizing Terraform and Jenkins/Jules for infrastructure as a code to enhance deployments and updates for application resiliency, and security. Demonstrates effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Relevant experience in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions, constantly seeking to be an expert Familiar with Terraform
