Security Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions to support the safeguarding of the bank's systems and sensitive information. Your role will involve providing subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns, developing and implementing protocols and software applications to protect sensitive data, managing and protecting secrets, executing audits to identify vulnerabilities, and collaborating with various teams to ensure cryptographic solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Provide subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns. - Develop and implement protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems. - Manage and protect secrets securely. - Execute audits to monitor, identify, and assess vulnerabilities in the bank's infrastructure/software. - Identify advancements in cryptographic technologies and techniques. - Collaborate across the bank to ensure cryptographic solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. - Develop, implement, and maintain Identity and Access Management solutions and systems. Qualifications Required: - Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise. - Thorough understanding of underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise. - Ability to lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development. - Strong communication skills to advise and influence decision-making within the area of expertise. - Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work owned or contributed to. - Maintain an understanding of how own sub-function integrates with the function and the organization's products, services, and processes. - Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience. - Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function and build a network of contacts.
