Description
Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed financial models tailored to sector-specific projects. Additionally, you will lead budgeting processes, produce forecasts, monitor sector trends, advise on funding strategies, identify and mitigate financial risks, engage with stakeholders, ensure compliance, and mentor finance team members. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain detailed financial models including NPV, IRR, and cash flow analysis - Lead annual and project-level budgeting processes and produce periodic forecasts and variance analyses - Monitor sector trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors translating insights into actionable recommendations - Advise on optimal capital structures, debt/equity mix, and funding sources - Identify, quantify, and mitigate financial risks unique to the sector - Present financial findings to senior management, investors, and external partners and prepare board-level reports - Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and donor or lender requirements - Mentor finance team members and develop sector-specific financial tools and best practices Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA/CPA preferred - 20+ years of finance experience with at least 15 years focusing on [sector] - Proven track record in financial modeling, project finance, and strategic advisory - Strong understanding of sector regulations, funding mechanisms, and financial risk frameworks - Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills,
