Secondary Logistics Lead

As the Assistant Manager - Secondary Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various activities related to transportation, stock control, and the flow of goods. Your main duties will include monitoring the secondary performance in alignment with the targets set by the Sales team and implementing measures to address any deviations from the set targets. You will be required to ensure the timely uploading of freight on SAP and approve any fluctuations based on thorough analysis. Collaborating with high-performing vendors to enhance cost and service-related benefits will be a key aspect of your role. This will involve implementing new techniques and processes to drive overall cost-effectiveness and efficiency in logistics operations. Utilizing logistics analysis to make informed decisions and drive reductions in total logistics costs while upholding high service levels will be crucial. Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing rake planning to reduce logistics costs effectively and appointing C&Fs after thorough background checks and proposal comparisons. Handling all operational matters related to CNFs, addressing disputes, rate changes, union issues, and other queries to ensure the smooth functioning of the Secondary Logistics Function will be part of your responsibilities. You will also oversee physical stock verifications at warehouses through surprise visits and audits to maintain the safety and security of logistics operations. Furthermore, you will play a key role in vendor management and agreement negotiations, including driving initiatives to enhance the capabilities of key vendors. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with vendors and ensuring efficient logistics operations to support the overall business objectives.,
