Secondary Engineer

As a member of the AIS, P&IC Secondary Engineering team at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in supporting project engineers and Project Lead engineers in developing project-specific engineering documents and drawings. Your primary focus will be on creating engineering documents for the manufacturing of Air Insulated Switchgears (AIS), Power Quality & Industry components of transmission and sub-transmission systems. You will work as an individual contributor, ensuring the timely delivery of tasks while also collaborating effectively with colleagues from various departments such as primary engineering, order management, power system study team, Steel structure engineering, Project Management, and Production units. Your responsibilities will include preparing electrical schematic diagrams using CAD tools like E3, AutoCAD, or similar software for high voltage equipment such as Breakers, Capacitor Banks, Disconnectors, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and other HVC Related Products. You will review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection, and Trip Logics provided by customers/stakeholders, generate Bills of Materials (BoM), and create part numbers using SAP. Additionally, you will coordinate and review schematic diagrams and 2D/3D drawings before submission to customers, prepare technical parameters, address technical queries from customers, and support onsite installation and commissioning colleagues. In order to excel in this role, you should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience and hold a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Proficiency in CAD tools like E3, AutoCAD, or similar software is essential. Experience with United States/North American design standards and IEEE standards will be considered a positive factor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
