Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Second Shift Laser Operator

to join our team. The Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has experience with laser cutting technology, understands material properties, and can read and interpret blueprints.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to job specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser machines.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
• Handle raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating laser cutting machines.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of laser cutting technology, machine programming, and material properties.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Quality Focus: Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Preferred: Basic CAD experience and familiarity with press brake operations.
