Second Shift Laser Operator

Job Description: Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Second Shift Laser Operator to join the team. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will have experience with laser cutting technology, understand material properties, and be able to read and interpret blueprints. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to job specifications. - Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed for quality and efficiency. - Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. - Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser machines. - Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs. - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders. - Handle raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment. - Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating laser cutting machines. - Technical Skills: Strong understanding of laser cutting technology, machine programming, and material properties. - Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - Quality Focus: Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts. - Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments. - Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently. - Preferred: Basic CAD experience and familiarity with press brake operations.
