Job Description: You will be joining the Hardware Compute Group as an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Realtekh, a multinational client, based in Bangalore. Your role will primarily focus on quality assurance and test automation for device firmware and multimedia systems. Your technical expertise and proven track record of ownership in complex testing environments will be crucial for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement comprehensive test automation frameworks using Python and pytest for hardware-software integration testing - Develop and execute firmware validation strategies for compute and multimedia devices - Create and maintain automated test suites for device drivers, firmware, and hardware interfaces - Collaborate with firmware developers to ensure robust testing coverage of new features - Lead debugging efforts for complex hardware-software integration issues - Implement performance testing and benchmarking solutions for hardware components - Drive continuous improvement in test infrastructure and methodologies Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field - 5+ years of experience in test automation for hardware/firmware systems - Strong programming skills in Python with extensive pytest framework experience - Hands-on experience with device driver testing and firmware validation - Proven experience in multimedia testing (audio/video protocols and standards) - Experience with hardware debugging tools and protocols (JTAG, I2C, SPI) - Strong understanding of operating system concepts and hardware architecture Desired Skills: - Experience with CI/CD pipelines in hardware testing environments - Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems - Familiarity with performance profiling tools & ADB - Experience with Linux kernel testing - Background in automated test environment setup and maintenance - Experience with version control systems (Git) Key Competencies: - Strong project ownership and ability to drive initiatives independently - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally - Proven track record of delivering high-impact testing solutions - Ability to mentor junior team members and influence testing strategies Please provide additional details of the company if available.
