SDE - I Node.js Developer

You will be a key member of our backend team at NovoStack as an SDE I Backend Developer (Node.js), based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Your role will involve hands-on coding, providing architectural leadership, and mentoring a small team. You will be responsible for working on critical backend systems, establishing engineering best practices, and contributing to the evolution of our backend architecture. As a technically proficient and collaborative individual, you will play a crucial role in leading and guiding the backend engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning. Your expertise in Node.js will be instrumental in designing and constructing scalable and reliable backend systems. Additionally, experience in Python is considered advantageous. Your responsibilities will include designing and optimizing SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases, developing and implementing backend APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) with a focus on authentication, rate-limiting, and caching strategies. Emphasizing clean code practices, automated testing, and CI/CD processes will be essential for ensuring the delivery of reliable and maintainable software. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, DevOps, and frontend engineers, will be necessary to ensure seamless project delivery. You will also contribute to defining coding standards, development workflows, and participate in team hiring and onboarding processes. To be successful in this role, you should possess 2-3 years of backend development experience, including leadership responsibilities. Expertise in Node.js, system architecture, microservices, event-driven design, and experience with message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ are required. Proficiency in database design and optimization across SQL and NoSQL systems, API development, authentication, caching, and rate-limiting techniques are essential skills. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines will be beneficial. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are crucial for making informed architectural decisions promptly.
