Description
As a backend developer at Binocs.co, you will have the opportunity to be part of the initial team defining and setting up a best-in-class digital platform for the Private Credit industry. Your responsibilities include: - Taking full ownership of components of the digital platform and building robust and scalable web-based applications. - Driving and actively contributing to High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs). - Collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Mentoring team members in adopting effective coding practices. - Conducting comprehensive code reviews focusing on both functional and non-functional aspects. - Ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of backend systems through testing, monitoring, and optimization. - Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development processes to maintain code quality and project timelines. - Being the owner of the platform and doing whatever it takes to deliver the required output for customers. - Staying up-to-date with the latest development trends, tools, and technologies. Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience in backend development with a strong track record of architecting and implementing scalable and high-performance backend systems. - Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Golang, Node.js, Java) and tech stack for writing maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code. - Good understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc). - Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. - Experience with multi-threading and concurrency programming. - Extensive experience in object-oriented design skills, knowledge of design patterns, and ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces. - Experience with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). - Knowledge of Test Driven Development, microservices architecture, serverless computing, event-driven architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), and DevOps practices. - Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
