Job Description

Key Responsibilities include serving as Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. The candidate will coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices, principles, and frameworks like Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban. They will guide teams towards high performance, self-organization, and accountability by removing impediments and fostering a collaborative environment. Close collaboration with Product Owners is essential to ensure well-defined and prioritized backlogs. The role involves tracking and communicating team metrics such as velocity and burn-down/up charts to promote transparency and data-driven decision-making. The Scrum Master will collaborate with Release Train Engineers, Solution Architects, and other Scrum Masters to align in larger enterprise-scale agile implementations, such as SAFe. Supporting continuous improvement by identifying and implementing team and process enhancements is a key expectation. The candidate must also manage stakeholder expectations, influence decision-making, and escalate risks and issues as needed. Mentoring junior Scrum Masters and contributing to the development of Agile Centers of Excellence is also part of the role.
Required Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Masters preferred), along with 10+ years of experience working in Agile environments, including at least 5 years as a Scrum Master. The candidate should possess an advanced understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and LeSS, and have strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps is expected. The candidate should also demonstrate success in leading agile transformations and working with distributed teams.
