Job Description The Field Service Technician is responsible for the on-site service, diagnostics, and maintenance of electric scooters (EVs) or petrol-based two-wheelers. This role ensures customer satisfaction through timely and professional service, technical issue resolution, and proper maintenance support directly at customer locations or dealerships. Key Responsibilities: Visit customer sites for routine servicing, breakdown repairs, and preventive maintenance of electric scooters. Diagnose faults in electrical systems (battery, motor, controller, wiring harness), mechanical parts, and software issues using diagnostic tools and mobile apps. Perform battery health checks, software upgrades, and motor/controller replacements as needed. Educate customers on EV charging practices, battery care, and safety usage guidelines. Coordinate with the technical team and backend support for escalated issues. Maintain accurate records of service visits, parts used, and customer feedback. Ensure tools, spare parts, and mobile service kits are properly maintained. Follow company’s safety and service quality standards. Educational Qualifications: Minimum Required: ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. Preferred: Training or certification in EV Maintenance or from recognized OEMs (like Ola Electric, Ather Energy, Hero Electric, etc.). Experience Requirements: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in two-wheeler service, especially electric scooters or motorcycles. Experience working with EV components like BLDC motors, lithium-ion batteries, BMS, and controllers. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, service mobile apps, and CAN communication protocols is a plus. Field service experience with customer handling is highly desirable. Key Skills: Technical knowledge of EV systems and two-wheeler mechanics. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Basic knowledge of vehicle software updates and diagnostics. Good communication and time management skills. Two-wheeler driving license is mandatory.
