Science Teacher (ICSE Board)

Position:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Classroom Management

• Teach Science subjects (Physics / Chemistry / Biology as applicable) to classes as per the ICSE curriculum.
  
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assessments aligned with ICSE standards.
  
• Maintain an engaging, disciplined, and student-friendly classroom environment.
  
• Conduct practical classes, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments in the laboratory.
  

2. Curriculum Delivery

• Ensure effective implementation of the ICSE syllabus.
  
• Integrate modern teaching methodologies, including activity-based and digital learning.
  
• Assess students’ performance through regular tests, classwork, projects, and assignments.
  

3. Student Support & Mentorship

• Provide academic guidance, doubt-clearing sessions, and remedial classes when needed.
  
• Monitor students’ progress and maintain detailed records.
  
• Identify learning gaps and take corrective measures.
  

4. Administrative Responsibilities

• Prepare question papers, check answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
  
• Participate in school events, science exhibitions, parent-teacher meetings, and departmental activities.
  
• Ensure laboratory safety and maintain lab equipment (for lab-based subjects).
  

5. Professional Development

• Attend training programs, workshops, and orientation sessions organized by the school or ICSE Council.
  
• Stay updated with changes in ICSE curriculum, teaching techniques, and educational trends.
  

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Biology/General Science (as per specialization).
  
• B.Ed. (Mandatory for ICSE Schools).
  

• Experience:

• Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in an ICSE school preferred.
  
• Freshers with excellent subject knowledge may also apply (if allowed by school policy).
  

• Skills:

• Strong command over the subject and ICSE syllabus.
  
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  
• Proficiency in digital tools and smart classroom equipment.
  
• Ability to motivate students and create an interactive learning environment.
