Job Title: School Librarian (Female)

Location: Miyapur, Hyderabad
Salary: Up to ₹30,000 per month

Qualification: B.Lib. / M.Lib. from a recognized institution

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and student-friendly School Librarian to manage our school library and foster a love for reading among students. The ideal candidate will be organized, approachable, and passionate about books, learning resources, and creating an engaging library environment that supports the academic and personal growth of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Library Management:

Maintain and organize all library resources, including books, journals, and digital materials, ensuring easy accessibility for students and teachers.

• Cataloguing & Record Keeping:

Manage the cataloguing, classification, and circulation of library materials using the library management system effectively.

• Student Engagement:

Guide students in selecting appropriate books based on their interests, reading levels, and academic needs.

• Reading Promotion:

Encourage reading habits among students through reading sessions, book talks, and creative library activities.

• Discipline & Environment:

Maintain a quiet, orderly, and welcoming atmosphere in the library while promoting respect for shared resources.

• Collaboration:

Work closely with teachers to support classroom learning with relevant reading materials and reference books.

• Inventory & Reporting:

Regularly update and maintain inventory records, prepare library reports, and ensure timely replacement or repair of books and materials.

• Proficient in cataloguing and library management systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Systematic, disciplined, and student-oriented
• Supportive, approachable, and able to inspire a love for reading
• Knowledge of children’s literature and age-appropriate books

Educational Qualification

• B.Lib. / M.Lib. from a recognized university or institution
• Additional certifications in library science or educational administration will be an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
