Position: Lab Assistant Location: Guru Rajendra Jain International School, Rajgarh, Dhar, Madhya Pradesh Accommodation: On-campus accommodation with meals provided Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support the smooth functioning of science laboratories at the school. The ideal candidate should be familiar with handling lab equipment, maintaining safety standards, and assisting teachers and students during practical sessions. Key Responsibilities: Prepare laboratories before each practical class by setting up apparatus and materials as per the teacher’s instructions. Assist teachers during lab sessions by helping students use equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Clean, store, and maintain lab instruments, glassware, chemicals, and specimens after use. Maintain proper records of inventory, chemicals, glassware, and other consumables. Ensure safe disposal of waste and adherence to hygiene and safety standards in the lab. Label chemicals and specimens accurately and maintain proper documentation. Report any damage or malfunction of equipment and assist in minor repairs or replacements. Support teachers during lab-based assessments, projects, and science exhibitions. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Minimum qualification of a diploma or bachelor's degree in science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology). Experience: Prior experience as a lab assistant in a school or educational institution is preferred. Skills: Familiarity with lab safety protocols and equipment handling. Basic knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology lab procedures. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students. Additional Requirements: Willingness to reside on campus and support school activities beyond lab work when required. Adaptability to work in a residential school environment and assist during school events or exhibitions. Responsible attitude with a focus on safety and discipline.
