Scan to BIM Specialist

As a Technical Point of Contact at Bureau Veritas, your role will involve being the primary technical interface with clients. You will coordinate regularly to understand client requirements, provide updates, and address any technical queries. The ideal candidate for this position should be a technical expert in GIS, 3D data processing, and advanced surveying techniques. It is essential to possess strong client-facing and quality assurance skills. You should be able to work independently without requiring support. Your responsibilities will include: - Navigating bureaucratic processes: Dealing with administrative challenges, securing necessary permissions, approvals, and clearances from relevant authorities to ensure project activities proceed lawfully and efficiently. - Logistical coordination: Planning and coordinating logistical requirements for field work, surveys, or other activities, including managing the process of obtaining required authorizations and permits. - Stakeholder liaison: Acting as a primary liaison with administrative bodies and key stakeholders to resolve issues, expedite approvals, and clear potential administrative roadblocks for project implementation. - Providing technical oversight and guidance for field surveying teams, ensuring correct data acquisition methodologies are followed, particularly for LiDAR scanning and GPR data collection. - Reviewing and validating field data outputs, including Control Survey reports and raw data quality. - Developing and implementing rigorous Quality Assurance protocols for all processed GIS and 3D datasets, focusing on spatial accuracy and georeferencing standards derived from surveying control. - Conducting thorough Quality Control checks on GIS feature attribution, spatial accuracy, and topology. - Being prepared for frequent travel across India for client meetings, site visits, and technical coordination of survey teams. - Displaying exceptional client-facing and coordination skills for effective communication with domestic clients. - Utilizing strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address data anomalies and project challenges. Desired Attributes: - Familiarity with standard LiDAR accuracy specifications (e.g., ASPRS standards). - Prior experience in managing or leading field survey crews.
