Satcom Support Engineer (L1 / L2) – VSAT, Starlink, Fleet Xpress

Job Description

We are hiring Satcom Support Engineers for hands-on technical support of live satellite communication systems used in maritime and offshore environments.

This role is for engineers who have actually troubleshot VSAT / satellite issues, not just monitored dashboards.

If you have worked on VSAT, Fleet Xpress, L-band, or LEO platforms and are comfortable in a 24x7 support setup, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for satellite communication services
• Troubleshoot VSAT, L-band, and LEO/MEO systems in live environments
• Assist remotely with modem issues, antenna alignment, signal degradation, and configuration
• Monitor terminal health and network performance
• Configure and support routers, modems, and firewalls
• Coordinate with NOC teams, teleport operators, and OEMs for issue resolution
• Maintain tickets, logs, and escalation notes in service desk systems
• Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support

Mandatory Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in satcom or VSAT support
• Experience troubleshooting live satellite links (not monitoring only)
• Knowledge of VSAT platforms such as KVH, Hughes, Viasat, iDirect
• Exposure to Starlink, OneWeb, or Iridium is a plus
• Basic to intermediate IP networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLAN, NAT)
• Comfortable working in 24x7 rotational shifts
• Willing to work from office in Andheri East, Mumbai

Good to Have

• Experience with Fleet Xpress or L-band services
• Router / firewall experience (Cisco, Fortinet, Peplink)
• Linux CLI or remote troubleshooting tools
• OEM or networking certifications

Important Notes (Read Before Applying)

• This is NOT a monitoring-only role
• Rotational shifts including night shifts are mandatory
• Work from office only (Mumbai – Andheri East)
• Immediate to 30-day joiners preferred
