SAS Developer

As a SAS SQL Developer, based in Gurugram with a notice period of 30 days, your primary responsibilities will include project task management, defining project deliverables, controls, and ensuring adherence to them. You will supervise and assist the team in project execution and delivery, monitor project progress to meet client expectations, and handle communications including deck writing. Your role will involve coordinating all sub-team efforts, creating project plans, defining milestones and timelines, and reviewing them with the team. You will be responsible for the delivery of output, facilitating and gathering client feedback on problem structuring, and building capabilities in junior team members. Additionally, you will understand and define business problems, gather relevant data points, create solution hypotheses, and align with clients on objectives, staffing needs, timelines, and budget. In terms of technical skills, you should have experience with SAS 9.4 (base and advance), SAS Viya 3.3, 3.5, and 4 (base and advance), as well as expertise in migration from SAS EG to SAS Viya. Your expertise should include converting .EGP files to .Flow in Viya, scheduling backups and restore strategies, reading SAS logs to identify root cause issues, preparing installation documentation, and standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible for scheduling jobs, monitoring day-to-day activities, supporting end-users with access and connectivity issues, establishing backup processes, and optimizing data processing and storage for efficient performance. Collaborating with Development and Testing teams to resolve issues quickly, performing ETL processes from various sources into SAS datasets, implementing data quality checks, data cleansing, and validation procedures will also be part of your role.
