SAS Consultant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing and supporting multiple SAS platforms like standalone, Grid, VA, Viya hosted on UNIX/LINUX servers. Your role will include providing SAS platform security management, SAS application and underlying infrastructure support, and ensuring processes are in compliance with organization policies. Additionally, you will monitor the availability and performance of SAS server environments, apply hotfixes, renew SAS licenses, and interact with various IT teams as needed. You will also schedule and coordinate planned outages on the SAS server and handle unplanned outages or urgent issues related to the SAS environment. Installation, upgrade, and configuration of SAS technology products on supported server environments will be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and support multiple SAS platforms on UNIX/LINUX servers - Provide SAS platform security management and infrastructure support - Monitor availability and performance of SAS server environments - Knowledge of SAS ACLs, UNIX/LINUX security, and usage logs - Apply hotfixes, renew SAS licenses, and interact with IT teams - Schedule and coordinate planned outages, handle unplanned outages - Perform installation, upgrade, and configuration of SAS technology products Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of hands-on experience as a SAS Administrator in Linux environments - 3+ years of experience as a SAS Grid Administrator in a Linux environment - 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAS Visual Analytics Environment - Understanding of Linux commands, SAS jobs monitoring, Linux and SAS integration - Knowledgeable on schedulers like Cron, Autosys & SAS schedule manager - Experience in troubleshooting SAS platform and client issues - Working knowledge of SAS Management Console (SMC) and configuration files - Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Note: The additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description.,
